Happy aphelion everyone! We’re now astronomically into the second half of 2011. Here are some excellent posts from the physical and geosciences this week.

How can we prove the unprovable? Aaron Sterling looks at a potential proof for the Church-Turing thesis and discusses the mathematical and philosophical problems with such an endeavour.

In Minnesota, climate scientists have proposed a technique to generate energy from carbon dioxide stored below ground, in a combination of carbon capture and geothermal energy generation technologies. Charles Harvey discusses the science and sociology of generation energy from CO2.

New Zealand has been hit by a series of earthquakes in recent times. Following the most recent quake, Chris ‘Allochthonous’ Rowan wrote an excellent post about the risks to the region and the science behind triggered earthquakes.

Hello there there! This is certainly kind of off matter but I want some advice from an established weblog. Is it really really hard to set up your own weblog? I am not extremely techincal but I can figure items out rather quick. I am contemplating about setting up my own but I am not sure in which to begin. Do you have got any concepts or ideas? With thank youeternal eden 2

I’ve gone ahead and bookmarked this post at Digg.com so my friends can see it too. I simply used your blog title as the entry title in my Digg.com bookmark, as I figured if it is good enough for you to title your blog post that, then you probably would like to see it bookmarked the same way.

They are a very good way to promote business service.
A VPN creates an encrypted connection to a third-party server, and all your
Internet traffic is routed through that server. To report stolen email addresses at Yahoo, click Yahoo.
