Travis Saunders selects several notable posts each week from Health and Clinical Research. He blogs at Obesity Panacea.
This has been a phenomenal week for Health and Clinical Research posts here on Researchblogging.org. Here are my favourites, and feel free to post your own in the comments below.
- Orac of Respectful Insolence writes a fantastic post on a new trial which suggests that the Gonzalez protocol (an “alternative” medical treatment for pancreatic cancer) is actually worse than placebo. A terrific dissection of an important finding which has received surprisingly little attention.
- adiemusfree of Healthskills examines the “myth” of core stability in two separate posts (link 1 & link 2).
- Northern Doctor discusses the results and societal implications an interesting study on heroin-assisted treatment for drug addicts.
- Laika’s MedLibBlog has the definitive (and dare I say encyclopedic?) post on why Wikipedia is not a reliable source of health information.
