Travis Saunders selects several notable posts each week from Health and Clinical Research. He blogs at Obesity Panacea.
- Stress now, mental illness later? Does childhood stress predict mental illness in adulthood? A phenomenal post by The MacGuffin.
- Radiation from medical imaging and cancer risk. Science-Based Medicine brings a clinical perspective to new research linking CT scans with cancer risk. For another excellent (but shorter) post on the same topic, be sure to check out Understanding Cancer.
- Cutting down on TV also cuts down calories. According to new research discussed by Just a Theory, simply reducing the amount of time that you spend in front of the TV can boost your energy expenditure by over 100 calories per day.
- Check your caller ID, it might be brain cancer. Weird Things looks at new legislation that could require a cancer warning be placed on cell phones in the state of Maine, even though there is no clear evidence that such a link exists.
Happy Holidays!
